"HELLO? Testing! Is this mike on? What? Oh, we're on? Why didn't ya TELL me? Um...Excuse me, world? Pay attention to ME now."

This isn't really a "BLOG." I'd call it a column, maybe, but I don't write and post the same day or the next day. Not every idea is a good idea, and not every bon mot should be made public. I need to pick over my writings and assemble something that I want to go on record with. Some of it will be a mistake, but nobody bats a thousand.

The "blogosphere" will probably pay no attention to my posts, but if they do, they'll say it's not blogging. That's right. It's something else. But it's still writing by a writer, who has some things to say and wants to have a few things read by the public. That shouldn't be too much to ask.

The problem I have with a "writer's blog" is that I want people to read my STUFF, my finished, full-length work. Not a lot of blather about everything else under the sun. Or about writing. Just too meta, ya know?

On the other hand, There are some things I've written over the last year-and-a-half that perhaps I should share, to fish for a reading public. I have plenty of writings to cull for post-worthy scribs (ooh, I just coined a term).

It's blather, sure. Funny stuff. Also very deep and wise and insightful. Because that's what I am, you know. Very deep and wise. No, seriously, I am! What? Don't you believe me? OK, fine. Nobody ever does...

The Great Swami Moolah once said, "You should believe exactly half of what I say. You just have to guess which half."

In this un-bloggish space, I'll alternate various writings and essays with ads and propaganda to point your attention to my real work: a magical e-book in a multimedia poetry show.

AD: Don't Miss "The LIGHTS At ARRIVAL"

I call your attention, not to myself, but to the material, the art and entertainment content of my work. Behind the hooplah of promos and covers and titles, there really is something to be seen behind the curtain, inside the tent, beyond the barker's loquacious invitation, come one, come all, come see what mysterious and amazing, entertaining and edifying thing is waiting, well worth your time and your dime, inside.

Give the work a chance. It is, truly, different from everything else out there. I hope you find it visually appealing, thought-provoking and enjoyable, as poetry and art in combination, a mind-movie in words and visuals.
